Identification and dissemination of European best practices about the restorative justice and evaluation of the role and application of the mediation and the alternative measures in the EU member states, 2012

Abstract
The overall objective of the project is the collection, dissemination, promotion of good practices at transnational level on programs of restorative justice and mediation and the non-custodial treat-ment measures. It should also highlighted the aim of contributing to the adaptation of participat-ing countries legal system as promised, in particular, the application programs of restorative jus-tice and mediation (see the European Union Council Framework Decision on the position of victims in criminal proceedings, 2001/220/JHA of 15 March 2001 and the Resolution on Action Plans to implement the Vienna Declaration on Crime and Justice: the new challenges of the twenty-first century, the United Nations General Assembly - No 56/261, 31/01/2002, and the resolution on the Basic Principles on the application of restorative justice programs in criminal matters, Economic and Social Council of the United Nations No 15/2002).

Street conflict mediation to prevent youth violence: Conflict characteristics and outcomes, 2012

​Abstract
A cross-sectional study was conducted using records for 158 conflicts mediated between 2007 and 2009. Involvement of youth, gangs, retaliation, weapons and other risk factors were described. Principal component analysis (PCA) was used for data-reduction purposes before the relationship between conflict risk components and mediation success was assessed with
multivariate logistic regression.
